How do I operate the "activate and replicate" niche?

  • 1 of 9: Did you take a look at the diagram above it?
  • 2 of 9: It shows three long alcoves, just like the ones in the squares surrounding the niche.
  • 3 of 9: Did you notice that each of those alcoves has electric plates of some kind at the end of them?
  • 4 of 9: You need to put power through those plates.
  • 5 of 9: By forcing something electrical into them.
  • 6 of 9: Like the spark creatures.
  • 7 of 9: Use either the Hand of Fate spell or the Dark Gauntlet to force the spark creatures into the alcoves (this may be a bit tricky, but you can do it with a bit of luck and practice).
  • 8 of 9: I found that the spark creatures often attacked from my side.  So standing with your party in front of an alcove, but facing 90 degrees away from it, you
    may trick the creatures into standing in front of the entrance.  In other words, if the alcove is to your west, face north or south, wait for the spark creature to stand to the west, then turn around, and push it back. This won't work all the time, but it is easier than relying purely on luck.
  • 9 of 9: Once you've filled all three alcoves with one creature each, the niche will work.  Just put an item in it, press the button, and the item will be replicated.  But be careful -- only one replication per game.
