I'm having trouble in combat!
1 of 5: Look in your manual for suggestions about the best weapons and spells to use against any particular opponent. Many of your potential foes are listed in it.
2 of 5: On occasion, where there's an especially good weapon or spell to use on a monster, I'll list it in the appropriate section of the hints.
3 of 5: But if there isn't, it doesn't hurt to be observant. Whenever a spell has an effect on a monster, you should see blood or some other sign of injury. If you cast a spell and nothing happens, chances are the monster is immune to the spell -- especially if it escapes damage after several casting attempts.
4 of 5: To choose weapons, unless you see a suggestion to the contrary, always look in the character portrait screen for the highest "might" number.
5 of 5: And if all else fails, you can reduce the level of difficulty through the game's control panel.
