How do I get past Scotia's Barrier in Upper Opinwood?
1 of 4: You can't do it until you've found Paulsen in the Urbish Mines.
2 of 4: The barrier is magic, so a magical device is needed to remove it.
3 of 4: Paulsen gave one to you when you rescued him. It was stored with the rest of his things in a hidden room that he showed you.
4 of 4: It's Vaelen's Cube. Use it right in front of the barrier several times, until the barrier breaks. Depending on the version of the game that you're playing, you might need to equip the Cube as a weapon first.
