Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude Hints
Is there any way to skip a mini-game that I just can't ever win?
1 of 7: Yes, there is.
2 of 7: At any time while playing the mini-game, hit ESC to bring up the menu.
3 of 7: Click on "Wimp Out?" to skip the mini-game by using one or more secret tokens.
4 of 7: Of course, you can't get away with this if you don't have enough secret tokens to skip that mini-game. If you need more, check the Secret Token Locations spoiler list.
5 of 7: If you're religiously holding onto your secret tokens, remember that if you lose a mini-game three times in a row, you'll be asked if you want it to be made easier (if, that is, the Difficulty option has "Adaptive" set to "on").
6 of 7: Also note that most mini-games have an associated object that you can buy or find that'll make the game easier somehow. Each set of mini-game hints has a "TIP" hint at the bottom for that.
7 of 7: A final note is that certain types of mini-games have the same sequence of required moves every time you play them, so you could memorize them or note them down and then play a perfect game using that info. For instance, on a really hard drink-mixing game, it may always start with an "up" followed by two "downs" and so on.
