How do I get the 3rd star (Pole Jumping for Red Coins)?

  • 1 of 4: You have to have beaten Bowser first.  Once you've beaten him, the sub will have disappeared and movable poles will appear instead.
  • 2 of 4: In the room with the sub, use the "!" switch to get to the first platform.
  • 3 of 4: Grab one of the poles that comes to this platform and ride to the other moving poles to get the other eight red coins.
  • 4 of 4: Once you get all of them, the star will appear on the first platform.
