Mass Effect Hints
PC Version
of 12: This minigame looks very similar to the Decryption Minigame, but works a bit differently.
of 12: In this minigame, each of the large circular rings is broken up into four segments.
of 12: The segments can be thought of as top, bottom, left, and right segments.
of 12: Your task is to find the "code" (i.e., sequence of circle segments) that unlocks, defuses, etc. the item that the minigame is attached to.
of 12: On the currently lit-up ring, you need to click on one of the four segments to see if it's the correct one.
of 12: There's no visual indicator or clue as to which one is correct. You'll just have to guess, meaning you've got a one-in-four chance of being right on the first try, a one-in-three chance of being right on the second try, and so on.
of 12: If the segment you choose isn't correct, the light in the central circle will glow red, and you'll be reset to the outermost ring if you're not already there.
of 12: If you do click on the correct segment, the central light will glow green, and you'll move inward to the next ring.
of 12: You need to click on the correct segment for each of the rings without making any mistakes in order to finish successfully.
of 12: TIP: You'll probably find it faster to use the arrow keys instead of the mouse.
of 12: The exact code sequence is always randomly chosen, so I can't give you an exact answer for any of the code entry minigames.
of 12: Fortunately, there's usually plenty of time to get them done using guesswork and quick fingers, though note that there may in some cases be an incentive (such as bonus credits) for getting it done extra fast.
