1 of 4: Just west of the elevator is the shop of Merchant Opold, where you can do some bartering and pick up the "Noveria: Smuggling" optional assignment.
2 of 4: A ways directly west of that is a public extranet terminal that you can open to get a codex entry and some XP.
3 of 4: Take the hotel elevator to get to the Port Hanshan Mezzanine, then talk to Mallene Calis nearby to get the "Noveria: Espionage" optional assignment.
4 of 4: You can also get the "Doctor at Risk" optional assignment while you're in the mezzanine area.
