Infiltrate Saren's Base
1 of 11: As you run along, you'll come within sight of a communications tower to the north.
2 of 11: It's an optional objective, and you could just run forward to the path split and then turn west to skip the tower.
3 of 11: Make your way west to the satellite uplink tower by whichever path you want to (or explore both paths for more combat and XP).
4 of 11: Approach the tower cautiously, taking cover and sniping at enemies when they appear.
5 of 11: Take down the krogan warrior who's defending the satellite uplink, then optionally destroy the elevated uplink device with gunfire to help out Kirrahe's team.
6 of 11: Raid the tower's aid station for medi-gel, then head west to a large walkway area.
7 of 11: You should thoroughly explore the entire walkway network for extra combat and lootable containers before you go across to the research facility.
8 of 11: As you approach the facility, snipe down the little force fields as you come within sight of them so that no enemies can use them to hide.
9 of 11: When you come under fire from two krogan warriors, retreat when necessary to restore health and shields, and try to hit them with powerful sniper rifle shots.
10 of 11: If you're lucky, they won't ever charge you, and you can take them both down at range.
11 of 11: Your objective will change to "Disable AA Guns" as you explore around the research facility's large balcony area.
