Mass Effect Hints
What all optional stuff can I do first?
of 10: To start with, go through the door that's marked "To Detention Cells" on the area map.
of 10: Past some stairs is a door you can use to get to the Cell Block A main floor.
of 10: There's a salarian commando you can talk to in one cell, and some docile-looking salarians in another cell.
of 10: You can choose to release them or not, getting some morality points for your choices.
of 10: Return to the security office and go through its SW corner door after checking the two nearby containers for items.
of 10: You'll soon come to Cell Block B, where you can choose whether or not to release some nutty-sounding salarians.
of 10: If you don't, you'll get some Renegade points. If you do, you'll get some Paragon points plus a fight with all the released salarians.
of 10: Use Cell Block B's southern exit to get to a storage room with two more hostile salarians to kill, plus an aid station.
of 10: Go down the storage room's stairs and around to where there are four crates in a row that you can raid for lots of items.
of 10: The door on the other side of the room just leads to the maintenance bay where you were earlier if you came in through the "secret" door, so head back to the security office and use its elevator to get to the labs.
