Find the Scientist

  • 1 of 12: Choose to land on the planet Ontarom in order to get dropped onto it in the Mako.
  • 2 of 12: The underground facility you're after is a long ways to the SE, so start driving over there.
  • 3 of 12: When you first spot it in the distance, use the Mako's gun camera to help you shoot down the troops who are stationed near it.
  • 4 of 12: Drive up and park next to the facility, then get out of the Mako and use the entrance console to go inside.
  • 5 of 12: Check the first room for item containers, then save before you open the door that leads into the large southern room.
  • 6 of 12: There are several powerful mercs in there, including snipers.
  • 7 of 12: Once you get their attention, retreat back to the door and stay there, closing it whenever you need a break from the firefight.
  • 8 of 12: After you get them all, look for containers to loot, then go check out the area to the south.
  • 9 of 12: The western room is openable, and has the guys you're looking for in it.
  • 10 of 12: During the conversation, you'll have to decide whether to convince Toombs to let the scientist live (Paragon way) or agree that he needs to be killed (Renegade way).
  • 11 of 12: Choose one of the available dialogue options that goes that way, preferably starting with the Charm or Intimidate option that you're given.
  • 12 of 12: After that's over, you'll get the "Report to Hackett" objective.
