Board Freighter
1 of 10: After you completely finish the "Citadel: Expose Saren" mission and board the Normandy, you'll be able to find the MSV Ontario and board it.
2 of 10: After you click on the Ontario on the map, choose to board it and then select your squad.
3 of 10: After you appear on the ship, make a last-minute equipment check, then open the door that's in front of you.
4 of 10: Loot the crate in the next room for items, then go through two more doors.
5 of 10: Quicksave right after you go through that last door, since there are several biotically empowered enemies in the huge cargo hold past it. You have only three minutes in which to kill them and get to where the hostage is being held.
6 of 10: As soon as it's clear, make your way over to the door that's on the east side of the cargo hold.
7 of 10: In the hallway past that door, go into the northern room to start a cinematic with the last few biotics and their hostage.
8 of 10: During the conversation, you may be able to use a persuasion option to resolve the situation peacefully and gain morality points for saving the hostage.
9 of 10: Otherwise, the hostage is killed and you'll have to fight. (Retreat to the cargo bay and run around in it for cover.)
10 of 10: In either case, the assignment is completed successfully. You can return to the Normandy by going back the way you came whenever you're ready.
