1 of 13: After allocating your character's new talent points, move north past Jenkins' body.
2 of 13: It's best to crouch-walk forward with your gun out so you'll be ready to quickly dispose of the three geth drones that will soon appear ahead of you.
3 of 13: NOTE: Alenko will probably be injured during this fight, so use a portion of medi-gel afterward to heal him up.
4 of 13: When the path narrows and turns NE, look for an upgrade kit near a body.
5 of 13: Just past that, watch for a drone to appear in the distance. Either take cover and wait for it to approach, or snipe at it with the pistol or sniper rifle.
6 of 13: When the game prompts you to shoot gas bags with the sniper rifle, ignore that and keep your best weapon readied to shoot down two more drones with.
7 of 13: A bit past that, you'll get a cinematic in which a female soldier named Ashley Williams blows away a couple of drones.
8 of 13: When you regain control, you can either snipe at the two geth troopers who are attacking Ashley, or you can just wait for her to finish them off.
9 of 13: Afterwards, run up to Ashley and talk to her, then switch in the Striker I pistol she gives you and load it with armor-piercing rounds. (Or do that with Alenko if you don't use pistols.)
10 of 13: Before moving on, raid the medical kit along the west side of the area and the two upgrade kits near the north end of the east side.
11 of 13: Move along the trench to the dig site carefully, watching for geth troopers to appear ahead of you.
