How can I kill the colossi before the timer starts?
1 of 9: Before you get the Citadel attack cinematic, drive slowly up to the top of the watery ramp that leads down to the colossi-and-conduit area.
2 of 9: From a spot near the middle of the top of the ramp, look down at the area ahead and zoom the gun camera to its max setting.
3 of 9: You should be able to easily spot a colossus ahead and a bit to the right.
4 of 9: Blast it with the cannon and machine gun until it dies. It won't appear to register the hits or fire back, but it is being damaged, so don't give up.
5 of 9: The other colossus that you can blast is a lot harder to see.
6 of 9: After backing up a little, maneuver the Mako so that it's at the right end of the top of the ramp.
7 of 9: Then fully zoom the gun camera and look left, just to the right of the end of the ramp's left wall.
8 of 9: You should be able to make out a little bit of blurry colossus movement. Keep firing at it until that colossus dies.
9 of 9: As for the two colossi that are closer to the conduit, I don't know of any way to position the Mako so that you can blast them early. Those danged huge roots just keep getting in the way.
