Mass Effect 2 Hints
Project Firewalker: Search for Survey Sites.
1 of 12: Right after you land in the Hammerhead, start firing missiles at the geth troopers who are in the area ahead. Aim up a bit and/or jump up if your missiles keep hitting the ground between you and the troopers.
2 of 12: Move on past them until you get near the large platform that the first artifact node is on. As you approach, a geth dropship will drop off a geth colossus and a few troopers.
3 of 12: Jump onto the platform and mine the artifact node, then move on past it to find a couple more geth troopers next to the drop-off to a large acid lake.
4 of 12: Blast those troopers from extreme range as before, then drop down onto the acid lake's nearest large land segment. Move along it to get another geth contingent dropped near the next artifact node, then hang back and jump-blast them with missiles.
5 of 12: From the other end of your land segment, it's a short and easy jump to the artifact node's platform. Finish off any leftover geth you missed before, then mine the artifact node.
6 of 12: Jump from the artifact node's platform to the large land segment behind it, then turn left and jump over to the metal structures.
7 of 12: Go up a ramp to the main floor, then turn right and use either of the two passages to get to the area with the next artifact node. As usual, geth will be dropped near the node as you approach, and you'll want to stay back and jump-blast them.
8 of 12: After mining that node, jump onto the big slanty roof that's on the left side of the area, then go along it and jump to a platform that has another platinum node to optionally mine.
9 of 12: Jump to the next platform, then jump over to the land that's to the right of the acid pool. As you move forward, more geth will be dropped next to the fourth artifact node, so jump-blast them and then go mine the node.
10 of 12: Go slowly up the huge ramp that's near the fourth node, looking for three rocket drones to rise up near the top of the ramp. Shoot them down at extreme range, then jump from the ramp to a small roof with an optional platinum node on it.
11 of 12: Jump from that roof to another one that's a ways lower down, then jump across to the huge platform with the slanty edge. Geth will be dropped in near that platform's artifact node, so stay back on the slanty edge while jump-blasting them. (Or better yet, go to the right end of the slanty ledge and drop down to the small wrecky bit of flooring. It's a safer place to jump-blast from.)
12 of 12: Mine the final artifact node, then go past it and to the right to find another optional platinum node to mine. When you're ready to go, press the Leave World key (F on the PC) to return to the Normandy.
