Distract Morinth.
1 of 5: The first thing to do is scan the assault rifle on the wall to get a damage upgrade.
2 of 5: Then go around and admire the other four interactive things in the apartment.
3 of 5: Talk to Morinth and choose as many Paragon and Renegade options as you can. (It's okay if some of them are unusable to you.)
4 of 5: Samara will then break in and kill Morinth -- unless you've got quite a few Renegade points, in which case you can choose to kill Samara instead of Morinth.
5 of 5: Either way, you'll get a loyal asari biotic-user, and the mission will be over.
