Mass Effect 2 Hints

Find an ally.

  • 1 of 9: Move forward and use the appropriate key (SPACEBAR on the PC) to get a pistol and some armor from the weapons locker, then turn right and run over to where the game wants you to take cover (using the same key).
  • 2 of 9: After the explosion, leave cover and run over to where you can pick up a thermal clip for your pistol. Reload it to get the locked door ahead to open for you.
  • 3 of 9: Take cover at the barricade past the door, then vault over it. You'll then have to shoot down your first hacked mech.
  • 4 of 9: Grab another thermal clip as you go up the stairs, then go up to the door at the top of the stairs and hit your Use key to open it. (On the PC, that's SPACEBAR yet again. That key is really overloaded!) Just past the door is a combat with several hacked mechs.
  • 5 of 9: In the corridor past that room, look for a thermal clip before going through the next door. (It's unlocked, so open it like you did before.)
  • 6 of 9: Run forward and pick up the grenade launcher. (Note that you have to move up next to it and hit the Use key -- you can't get it by just running over it like you can the thermal clips.)
  • 7 of 9: Look for a thermal clip near the railing, then go right and move onto the "elevator floor" so it'll take you down to the lower walkway.
  • 8 of 9: Go through the next unlocked door, then look nearby for another door you can open before you head down the corridor on the right.
  • 9 of 9: After running up some more stairs, check the public computer on the left before going through the next unlocked door and meeting up with Jacob Taylor.
