Oculus Combat Tips
1 of 6: The oculus targets you with a powerful continuous laser beam that will kill you very quickly if you don't run for cover.
2 of 6: TIP: The large slanty support beam to the left of where you enter the cargo hold works really well. If you stand in the right spot, you can shoot the oculus, and its laser beam will just hit the support beam.
3 of 6: Fire at it with your heavy weapon when you can, and try to stay alive until the next cut-scene happens.
4 of 6: After it's over, you'll be back in the cargo hold, and the oculus will have fully repaired its armor.
5 of 6: Cover is a bit harder to negotiate this time, but if you keep running around a nearby large crate, you should be able to avoid getting fried while firing on the oculus.
6 of 6: NOTE: There are boxes of heavy weapon ammo (plus med kits and medical stations) that you can raid during both oculus combats if you run around and find them. However, you probably shouldn't bother unless you have an immediate need for it. Your medi-gel and power cells will be fully replenished when you land on the collector base.
