Mass Effect 2 Hints
Activate Magnetic Shield.
1 of 10: Go down the stairs from the shuttle landing platform and check the large machines on the left side of the walkway for a broken generator that you can salvage to get palladium.
2 of 10: At the other end of the walkway, bypass the station central control terminal to gain access to the control platform.
3 of 10: Looking around the platform, you'll find a control switch in the center, plus three terminals around the edge: shield generator, shield control, and cooling unit.
4 of 10: Try using the central control switch several times to see what happens.
5 of 10: Notice how the two yellow lights on one pipeline switch to another pipeline every time you use the control switch. That must indicate which one of the three systems is currently receiving power.
6 of 10: Try sending power to each system and then accessing its terminal.
7 of 10: The shield control panel can't be bypassed because the shield generator is offline, and the shield generator immediately overheats when it's brought online.
8 of 10: So the first thing to do is power the cooling unit and use it.
9 of 10: Next, power the shield generator and use it.
10 of 10: Then power the shield control and bypass its panel to finish up.
