Mass Effect 2 Hints
Misc. Tips
1 of 4: When exploring, you can use your storming ability to move along a bit faster every now and then. This is especially helpful when moving around big areas with no hostiles in them, such as Omega and Illium.
2 of 4: No matter where you are or what you're doing, always keep a lookout for interactive items that will give you useful things like credits, upgrades, minerals, or heavy weapon ammo when you use them.
3 of 4: Unfortunately, a lot of those interactive items are locked, and you'll have to play one of the two new minigames to open them.
4 of 4: If you have as much medi-gel as you can carry, looting med kits and medical stations will give you 100 credits instead of medi-gel. That's better than nothing, but it can often be useful to pass up medi-gel containers until after the next combat or two, during which you may need to use your Unity power (which consumes medi-gel). If so, go back and pick up the one(s) you passed up after the combat is over. (If you can get back there, that is -- it won't always be possible.) The same sort of thing applies to power cells, which are heavy weapon ammo.
