Get to Archangel.
1 of 5: As soon as you regain control, start firing on the freelancers you see running around ahead of you. This will turn them all hostile, so quickly gun them down.
2 of 5: At the entrance to the room ahead, shoot the guy who's kneeling next to a bomb on the floor, but don't blow up the bomb -- it can be more useful in a near-future combat.
3 of 5: Take cover and finish off all the freelancers in the room, then take the time to look around for thermal clips, two med kits, and a gadget you can scan for a tech damage upgrade.
4 of 5: Go up the stairs and look to the right for more freelancers. Take cover on the top few steps while shooting them, then look around the upstairs area for thermal clips, two med kits, and a wall safe.
5 of 5: After quicksaving, open the upstairs door to find Archangel and learn that he's your old pal Garrus from the first Mass Effect game.
