Return to Garrus.
1 of 3: Look around for thermal clips to reload with, plus any med kits or other items you haven't collected yet.
2 of 3: When you're done, go back up to Garrus' room and talk to him.
3 of 3: During the conversation, you can volunteer one of your companions to stay with him. This gets you some Paragon points and keeps Garrus better-protected, but you'll have a harder time with the combats ahead. If Garrus is still in good shape, you'll probably want to take both companions with you.
