Mass Effect 2 Hints
Stop Blood Pack.
1 of 7: When you regain control after the next cut-scene, you'll find yourself under cover near the stairs that lead up to Garrus' room. Garm is going up the stairs after Garrus, and there are some Blood Pack guys and varren nearby to delay your following him.
2 of 7: Kill them off as quickly as you can, then run up the stairs and quickly shoot down Garm's krogan ally.
3 of 7: Peek through the doorway to Garrus' room to distract Garn and shoot him a bit, then retreat for cover and get out your heavy weapon.
4 of 7: Garm will probably turn his attention back to Garrus, so wait a second or two if you need shield regeneration, then strafe in and hit Garm with a couple of blasts.
5 of 7: Retreat again and wait a few seconds, then repeat. If you haven't depleted your heavy weapon ammo on other things, you should be able to finish Garm off easily this way. Otherwise, you'll have to use another weapon and repeat the attack-and-retreat routine several times.
6 of 7: TIP: Be sure to save at least three heavy weapon rounds, since they'll be very useful in the next series of combats.
7 of 7: After Garm is down, go around picking up thermal clips, then talk to Garrus to get the last in this series of combat-heavy objectives.
