Landing Pad.
1 of 7: Go down the stairs and through a door, then go down some more stairs and up to another door.
2 of 7: Open it, but don't go through it yet -- it'll lock behind you. Instead, take cover to the left of it and send your squad through to help take down the troopers ahead.
3 of 7: When the area past the door seems clear, go through it and take cover behind the two-crate stack that's almost directly across from it. Enemies are going to be appearing in the outdoor area past the open bay door.
4 of 7: Shoot down all the ones you can from there, and try to shoot out their shield pylons (though that'll be very hard without a sniper rifle). Move down to the open bay door when you have to in order to find more targets, and watch for enemy shuttles to arrive with fresh troops.
5 of 7: Retreat back up the stairs when that happens, and shoot from there. Keep going back and forth between the top of the stairs and the bay door (without going through the bay door and letting it lock behind you) until the last refugee shuttle launches.
6 of 7: Stay near the bay door (without going through it) and wait for an atlas mech to appear. Shoot it down as quickly as you can, then shoot any remaining troopers.
7 of 7: After they're all killed, just stand and wait for the mission-ending cut-scenes.
