Mass Effect 3 Hints
Fuel Rod.
1 of 8: Move past Captain Riley, but don't drop down the ladder to the hazardous area yet.
2 of 8: Go on past the ladder top to find a "Crane Display" terminal, then go past it to find some spare parts to salvage for credits.
3 of 8: Return to the crane terminal, then use it to bring up the crane display screen and activate the three crane controls.
4 of 8: Go down the crane-cleared passage until you find the top of the stairs that lead down into the hazardous area.
5 of 8: Look on the opposite side of the upper walkway for the "Vent Sector A1" terminal. Using it will clear the hazardous fumes away.
6 of 8: Go down to the other end of the upper walkway to find a credits-giving PDA and the "Restart Reactor" terminal (which you can't use yet), then go back and enter the formerly hazardous area.
7 of 8: Turn right past the bottom of the stairs to find the "Fuel Rod Control" terminal, then look on the floor to the right of it for a credits-giving PDA. Also, go to the other end of the lower-floor area to find a med kit.
8 of 8: Quicksave before you use the rod control terminal, since doing so will start a combat with a marauder and several husks. You'll get the next objective soon after the combat is over.
