Mass Effect 3 Hints

Target the Reaper.

  • 1 of 8: At first, you'll be manning a turret. It's useless against the reaper, so don't even bother firing. Wait until you get a cut-scene, after which you'll be on foot with the targeting device.
  • 2 of 8: Immediately move as far to the left as you can, then wait for the reaper to open up its firing chamber. Aim at it to get the large blue circle display, then press and hold the "Shoot" key while holding your aim steady until an orbital strike hits the reaper.
  • 3 of 8: Stay where you are and wait for the reaper's firing chamber to open again, then aim so that the dot on your targeting reticule is on or near the reaper's pink dot. That should get you the blue circle display again, so start holding down the "Shoot" key.
  • 4 of 8: The catch this time is that the reaper will be aiming its blast at you, and it'll kill you if you don't roll out of the way before its beam hits you.
  • 5 of 8: While still aiming and holding the "Shoot" key, do a roll to the right, followed by another one if necessary. If you reach the right end of the area before the orbital strike hits, start rolling back to the left.
  • 6 of 8: After that orbital strike, you'll need to call in three more. The first two will work the same as the previous one.
  • 7 of 8: The targeting for the final strike will be in slow-mo, so you won't have to do any rolling around.
  • 8 of 8: After that strike hits, you'll get some cut-scenes that'll force you to decide between the geth and the quarians. Whichever side you choose against will be destroyed. (Note that choosing the geth will get you a much higher-value war asset, but you'll lose Tali as a squadmate.)
