Exactly how does the planet-scanning process work?
1 of 3: You can move your large, circular scanner grid around the planet's surface, and you can use certain keys (A and D on the PC) to rotate the planet.
2 of 3: Hold down the "Scan" key, then move the scanner and/or rotate the planet so that you're going toward where the white line points.
3 of 3: When you find a white circle, center your scanner grid on it, then press the "Launch Probe" key while still holding down the "Scan" key.
