Mass Effect 3 Hints
Defend Civilians.
1 of 5: Go into cover against the large concrete block that's next to building 7's stairs. Assign one squad member to a position past the top of the stairs, and the other one to a position near you.
2 of 5: Most enemies will come from the direction of building 5, but be ready to help your building 7 squad member with any who try to come through that way.
3 of 5: After the civilians run off, move around the concrete block and take cover against the railing so you can shoot down at the troopers in the lower area. Keep watching for some to come at you through building 5.
4 of 5: After the civilians run off again, move over to building 5 and clear it out, then take cover in or near it and shoot down the next group of enemies. The railing of the ramp that leads down to the lower area will probably be a good cover spot.
5 of 5: Shepard will yell "You're clear. Go!" after all enemies are killed. Soon after that, you'll get the next objective.
