What all optional things can I do before starting this mission?
1 of 5: Go to the galaxy map area to get the optional "N7: Cerberus Fighter Base" mission, then go to the bridge and listen to Garrus and Joker tell some jokes.
2 of 5: Talk to Garrus to get a couple of rep points, then go to deck 3 and talk to your ship's doctor to get a brief examination and a couple more rep points (if you haven't already done this).
3 of 5: Talk to Diana Allers in the starboard cargo hold on deck 4 to get even more rep points and a war asset update. (Note that one of the dialogue topics is morality-related.)
4 of 5: On deck 5, check the Procurement Interface terminal to see that some of the Citadel shops have new stuff, including a new medi-gel capacity upgrade at Sirta Supplies. The procurement terminal will be the only way to buy stuff from Citadel stores until after this mission is over.
5 of 5: You can now get some assets from the Aethon Cluster and Attican Beta galactic clusters, and do the above-mentioned side mission.
