The Messenger Hints
I can't find the secret doorway to the Ambassador's room.
1 of 10: You'll need to solve the puzzle of the kings' portraits first.
2 of 10: When the puzzle is solved, the secret doorway will be opened.
3 of 10: You could look around the room, searching for it by trial and error.
4 of 10: Or you could "do the math," and find it directly.
5 of 10: Note the formula of adding and subtracting "kings," found on the royal note.
6 of 10: Take the cardinal number of each of the kings referred to; add and subtract according to the note.
7 of 10: 11 - 1 + 2 - 8 = 4
8 of 10: There is only one king whose cardinal number is "IV".
9 of 10: Go to the portrait of Henry IV.
10 of 10: The secret door is directly across the room.
