The Messenger Hints
Inventory chests
You have a limited amount of items that you can carry at any one time. However, scattered throughout the game are "inventory chests", where you can "trade off" items from your inventory. And these inventory chests "magically" transfer objects between them. That is, every inventory chest throughout the game will contain all of the items currently stored in ANY inventory chest.
In this manner, you can "move" items around the game without having to carry them. You can also dispose of an item that you are carrying, and pick it up again someplace totally different, just by looking in any one of the inventory chests lying about!
Use the inventory chests frequently and wisely. There will be many places in the game where you will need to pick up several objects at once, and if you do not have enough space in the inventory you are carrying (referred to by the game as your "wallet"), you will need to go find an inventory chest, and dispose of some items that are not currently needed, before you will be able to pick up the new object.
