What am I supposed to do with the apparatus on the side table?
1 of 8: First, look in the leftmost bookcase.
2 of 8: Read the book from inside the bookcase.
3 of 8: You should now recognize that this is a generator connected to a Leyden jar.
4 of 8: A Leyden jar has the capacity to hold an electrical charge.
5 of 8: You'll need to "crank up" the generator to charge the Leyden jar.
6 of 8: But the generator is missing a crank handle.
7 of 8: You'll find the crank handle in Diane's room.
