The Messenger Hints
How do I find the correct portrait?
1 of 11: Listen carefully to the sculptor in his workshop.
2 of 11: The sculptor asks for the portrait of "Christophe Gabriel Allegrain."
3 of 11: Carefully search the Square Room.
4 of 11: Look on the small table for an interesting booklet.
5 of 11: The last page of the booklet has a photo of the painting you need to look for.
6 of 11: The top left painting, pictured on the last, left-most page, is the correct one.
7 of 11: You'll need to examine the paintings in the Square Room, until you find the one to match the picture in the booklet.
8 of 11: The picture is at the top of the second grouping of paintings to the right of the stairs.
9 of 11: The painting is up high. You won't be able to reach it without some help.
10 of 11: You'll need to climb a step-ladder, which needs to be positioned on the floor near the painting you need.
11 of 11: The step-ladder may be found back in the Apollo Gallery.
