The Messenger Hints
Moving around the Louvre
You can always move from room to room, as if you were walking on a normal path. However, there may be times when it is beneficial to get to another location more quickly, bypassing all of the intervening rooms. For this purpose, use the map of the Louvre that can be accessed from the inventory screen (the map is represented by a small picture of a castle).
Using the map, you may instantly access any room that you have already been in, simply by clicking on its location on the map. (Any room that has not yet been visited will not be available via the map, and you will have to get to it "the old-fashioned way.")
This is also the quickest way to get back and forth to one of the inventory chests, should you require one and there is none in the immediate vicinity. Use the map to "warp" directly to a location containing an inventory chest, make whatever "trades" you need to make, and then "warp" back to where you came from.
