Metal Gear Solid Hints
Metal Gear Rex
1 of 10: To destroy Metal Gear Rex, you first need to destroy the radome on his left shoulder using the Stinger Missile launcher, and then you must hit the cockpit in the same way.
2 of 10: Rex has four attacks -- a machine gun, a laser, tracking missiles and a foot stomp.
3 of 10: If you go close, he will attack using the laser and machine guns, and if you go far away, he fire targeted missiles.
4 of 10: When you are very close to Rex and near either of his feet, he will sometimes attempt to stomp on you. This is a one-hit kill, so be extremely careful when he gets close.
5 of 10: When the battle first begins, run and hide behind the boxes in the bottom right of the room.
6 of 10: When you hear Rex start to move and roar, throw a Chaff grenade to prevent the radome from tracking you.
7 of 10: Come out from your hiding space, equip the Stinger and fire at the radome. After a few hits, watch the cut scene.
8 of 10: When you are back in control, you need to do exactly as you did before, but this time you are shooting at the cockpit.
9 of 10: Use the same tactic as before, run and hide, but this time Chaff grenades will have no effect as Liquid is controlling Rex manually, and using his own eyes. Instead, you can use Stun grenade to temporarily blind Liquid, but this will not last as long as the Chaff grenade so be careful.
10 of 10: After a few hits in the cockpit, Rex will be finally be beaten.
