Mission Critical Hints
What am I supposed to do with the equipment inside the tower?
of 20: First of all, you should probably make sure that you can get to the four rooms at the end of each bridge from the central platform. I had a bit of trouble getting to two of them. Try facing the platform, but move the cursor to its left or right. You'll still see a forward arrow, but these arrows don't move you onto the platform. Instead, they'll take you off to the side.
of 20: Next, explore the rooms carefully, and you should find that what to do is reasonably obvious.
of 20: Look in the triangular depressions and notice the objects.
of 20: Everything is made to fit with something else.
of 20: Start with the blue and yellow rods in one of the depressions.
of 20: Those are made to go in slots in the rooms on the sides of the platform.
of 20: Put the blue rod in the slot next to the blue cubic crystal and the yellow rod in the slot next to the yellow prism crystal.
of 20: Those crystals you just got are exactly the right size to go in the holes in the cube.
of 20: So put them there.
of 20: Basins are meant to hold liquids. Too bad there aren't any here.
of 20: At least not now.
of 20: Maybe those crystals can melt, though.
of 20: Heat them up with the torch. When you heat both, a green liquid will appear in the basin.
of 20: And other things in the complex appear to have changed.
of 20: I wonder if the nanomachines might like something that they can build with.
of 20: Remember the octagonal block?
of 20: Well, go and get it and then drop it in the basin. The force that was holding it down has gone.
of 20: That was a success. Maybe the machines are ready for the next step.
of 20: Like metal.
of 20: Get one of the metal fragments from the shuttle crash and put it in the basin. Everything else will happen automatically.
