Where is the odd machine located?
1 of 4: It isn't on the main level. Have you found an elevator yet?
2 of 4: There are actually two of them. They don't look like elevators -- they just look like an alcove.
3 of 4: Starting from where you first entered Lyra, go up the hall to the area where you will first be presented with a choice of directions you can travel. The elevator you should use is in the alcove off to the right side.
4 of 4: The machine is straight ahead when you exit the elevator.
