This is WAY over my head -- help me out.
1 of 3: OK, our goal is to add 3468 (base 12) to 8041 (base 12).
2 of 3: Now, there are two ways to go about it. One would be to convert both numbers to something we can understand (i.e., decimal), add them together in a simple calculation, and then change the result back to base 12.
3 of 3: The other way is to add the base 12 numbers IN BASE 12 -- and get the answer in base 12 without any conversions.
