Mysterious Journey II Hints
How do I get through the rotating hall?
of 11: The rotating hall is located through the door that Talen opens. You'll have to begin the repairs to Talen before gaining access to this area.
of 11: The goal is to turn all the hall portions into the same position, with an opening (suitable to walk through) at the bottom. The yellow-gold bumps (are they lights?) should all be at the top.
of 11: Obviously, you'll need to use the control panel in front of the hall to turn the various hall portions (you may need to look down a bit to see it). Take some time to study the controls and what each button does.
of 11: The large button underneath the row of five buttons resets the hallway to its original position. For the other five buttons, make sure to write down exactly which button turns the different portions of the hall. It is helpful to number each hall portion (from front to back), numbering from one through nine.
of 11: Once you have the information written out (of which button turns which sections), study the information to see if you can figure out which buttons should be pressed first.
of 11: Starting with the sections that can only be moved by one button, turn those sections to their correct positions first.
of 11: In other words, press the second button from the left until the 5th section of hall is correctly aligned (with its yellow bump at the top). Then, press the middle button, until the 2nd and 3rd sections of the hall have their yellow bumps at the top.
of 11: From there, go back to your information of which buttons turn which sections. Cross off the buttons that are already set. Look again, for further clues as to what to do next.
of 11: There are now two more hall segments that can only be turned by a single button.
of 11: The 6th segment of hall can now only be turned by the left-most button. And, the 9th hall segment can only be turned by the right-most button.
of 11: Once those segments are correctly aligned, only one segment remains. Press the fourth button (from left) to finish turning the hall.
