Mysterious Journey II Hints

Tell me about the arrow next to the cursor.

  • The arrow only appears when there is something interactive nearby.  On occasion you might see more than one arrow -- which indicates that there are two or more interactive items nearby.  The arrow will grow weaker (lighter) as you move away from an interactive object, and stronger (darker) as you move towards one.

In order to figure out which direction the arrow is pointing, imagine that the circle in the center of the screen, which is the figure used for the cursor, is the tail of the arrow.  Imagine a line between the tail and the arrowhead.  The direction that the arrowhead is pointing -- away from the circle -- is the direction that you'll find the interactive item.

Even understanding all that, it can still be difficult to find the interactive items, especially when the cursor changes because of an item behind a locked door; or an item above you, which may be inaccessible from the level you are currently on.
