Might and Magic VI Hints
Memory Crystal Delta
of 12: Memory Crystal Delta is located in Castle Darkmoor, in the Mire of the Damned map section.
of 12: You can get there by walking over an invisible bridge at the end a ramp that seems to stop suddenly.
of 12: Also, be warned that Castle Darkmoor is one of the more difficult sections of the game. If you want to clear the place out, instead of just running from location to location, you'll have to fight well over a hundred different Eyes. Some have the power to cast dispel magic, making it pretty much impossible to keep a Wizard Eye spell going for very long at any given time. And that's not to mention the Power Liches that you'll find inside as well.
of 12: If you explore the Castle enough, you should find a sign that reads "The crimson embers will lead the way."
of 12: Head to the south of the first floor of the castle, and then go to the west up a ramp. The sign will be to your north at the top of the ramp.
of 12: After you look at the sign, a lever will appear behind it.
of 12: Pull the lever, and look for the crimson embers.
of 12: Go back to the bottom of the ramp and head east. You'll find a red cube hanging from the ceiling in a very large room. (The cube was blue before you pulled the lever.)
of 12: Touch the cube and then go through the door to the north that the cube opened.
of 12: From here on, just keep heading down and to the west. The paths will sometimes be a bit crooked, but there isn't much in the way of hidden passages and the like.
of 12: You should find a couple of more blue cubes along the way, as well.
of 12: There is another "crimson embers" sign that will change the second cube to red. You will find the Memory Crystal near a third cube, which changes to red after you read a sign saying "The fires of the dead shall burn forever."
