Where can I buy skills and get expert or master training?
1 of 2: The following list will tell you where you can buy skills, as well as where you can find training in becoming an expert or master in those skills. Note that you must always be at rank 4 or higher in a skill before you can become an expert. The qualifications for master vary, but you must always become an expert first, in any case.
When possible, I have tried to be more specific about the location of a given trainer than just the name of the town or map section. This information may not be entirely accurate, especially since it's often very subjective. If you can't find a trainer in the section of town I've named, you may want to explore more broadly. (When a name refers to both a town and a map section, you may assume I'm referring to the town, unless otherwise clarified.)
Note that, to enter a guild which sells skills, you will have to purchase a membership to the guild. Guild memberships are sold in the same town(s) as the guild itself, and can be used at any of the guild's locations. The costs of buying a skill from a guild are affected by your merchant skills. The costs of expert and master training are not.
2 of 2: Thanks to Mike Marcelais for his strategy guide at www.the-spoiler.com, which I used to supplement some of the above information not present in my notes the first time I played through the game. Any errors are, of course, my own.
