Might and Magic VI Hints
How do I kill all the guards here?
1 of 3: The Guardians of VARN are completely immune to most magical attacks.
2 of 3: The only thing that will work on them are physical attacks, or spells that deliver purely physical damage (Shrapmetal, Implosion, Rock Blast, etc.)
3 of 3: If you have character(s) with high levels of dark magic, stand up very close to a creature and cast Shrapmetal. All of the shards of metal will be focused on that creature, possibly doing hundreds of points of damage, especially if you're casting at master level and with an "... of Dark Magic" (+50% spell level) item. (Note that the game isn't very good at reporting multiple hits from a single spell, so it may look like you're doing a lot less.)
