Might and Magic VI Hints
The Control Center
1 of 7: Once you've found the Oracle's Control Cube, the Oracle will tell you that you will need ancient weapons to be able to destroy the reactor in the alien ship.
2 of 7: Those weapons are located in the Control Center underneath the Oracle. Just go to the Oracle and ask for admission. (You may have to leave him and return after you've delivered the cube, before the Control Center appears as an option.)
3 of 7: First, you will need the skill to use blasters.
4 of 7: You can get this just by reading a sign near the front of the Control Center. It explains how to use a blaster.
5 of 7: There are plenty of Blaster Pistols located in chests all around the Control Center. And you really only _need_ one to destroy the reactor, although the more blasters you have, the more quick and thus successful you'll be.
6 of 7: There are also exactly four Blaster Rifles located throughout the Control Center. The Rifles are much better weapons -- and, given their increased firing rates versus conventional (even enchanted) weapons, are also generally good substitutes for your existing weapons. They don't do a lot of damage in a single attack, but they also give you many more attacks, which should more than make up for the lesser damage.
7 of 7: The Terminator Units located throughout the Control Center are difficult, because they can eradicate you in a single attack. Eradication can be "cured" with a Raise Dead spell, but this will require a long recovery on the part of your caster, and also leaves the target of the spell with 0 hit points _and_ spell points. You may just find it easier to run around the Terminator Units, instead of attacking each one head on.
