Might and Magic VI Hints
The Obelisks
1 of 10: There is one obelisk on each of the 15 map sections throughout Enroth.
2 of 10: Find each one and decode the message. It will spell out the location of a very large treasure. I have read, but not verified, that the treasure is not available to you unless you have actually found the obelisk within the game. That is, reading the location in these hints alone may not be enough to let you get the treasure.
3 of 10: The treasure gives you the 250,000 GP, Divine Intervention and Dark Containment spell books, and three artifacts to improve your elemental, self, and light/dark magic ability.
4 of 10: If you check your autonotes, you will find that the game numbers the obelisks for you. The numbering starts in the northwest of Enroth (i.e., 1 is in Sweet Water) and proceeds down columns first and then across the overall Enroth map grid. That is, Obelisk 2 is in Paradise Valley, Obelisk 3 is in Hermit's Isle, 4 is in Kriegspire ... and 15 is in New Sorpigal.
7 of 10: Just read the messages, taking the first letter from Obelisk 1, then from Obelisk 2, ... to then Obelisk 15, and start over with the second letter of Obelisk 1. Putting the messages on a grid should make this task easy.
8 of 10: The message points you to a space to the northwest of the Shrine of the Gods and the northeast of the Temple of VARN in Dragonsands.
9 of 10: Look for a circle of rocks.
10 of 10: The rock in the center contains the chest with the treasure.
