Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor Hints
What are the map coordinates you give in this file?
If you look on the full automap (press the "M" key if you haven't remapped the keys), you will notice X and Y coordinates given at the bottom of the map. I've used those coordinates in the form (X, Y) throughout much of the file to help you find key dungeon entrances and items. You may still be able to see an item or door if you're within a hundred or so of the coordinates in the file -- there's no need to try to get exactly to the coordinates I've given.
The X coordinate gets larger as you head east, and the Y coordinate gets larger as you head north. In outdoor maps, the center of the map has coordinates of (0, 0) and the far corners are at 22528 (positive or negative). So, for example, the northeast corner has coordinates of (22528, 22528) and the southwest corner as coordinates of (-22528, -22528).
