Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor Hints
How can I find Xenofax?
of 11: The route through Colony Zod is extremely linear, at least in a gameplay sense. That is, only one or two rooms are open to you at a time, so your options are limited. As a general rule, pressing buttons opens doors that takes you to more rooms, where you can press more buttons. Keep going through the doors that open and you should be able to reach Xenofax. But if you need more help, read ahead for a walkthrough in the next set of hints.
of 11: Once you enter the Colony, turn to the west and go through the door at the end of that passageway. Take the lift up to the next level.
of 11: You will find four buttons on a control panel on the upper level. Press them all -- in doing so, you will open at least two different doors.
of 11: The first door that you should go through is an invisible barrier just past the control panel on this same level. Head to the west and south to go through it. (If you can't get through the barrier, go back and make sure you've pressed all of the buttons.)
of 11: You will find four cages, one in each of four rooms. One of the cages (the one in the southeast) contains King Roland Ironfist. Click on it to free him and get the Colony Zod Key, which you will need later on.
of 11: Now you're done with this area, so go back to the lift and head back toward the entrance. On your return trip, you should see a door to the north that wasn't there before. Go through it.
of 11: There's another lift in this room that takes you up to a higher level. Take it.
of 11: Then, press buttons on the west and east sides of this section. They will open a door on the south side of the large room, which leads you to yet another lift that you should take.
of 11: You'll find a locked door at the top of this lift.
of 11: Use the Colony Zod Key to unlock it.
of 11: Xenofax is one of the devil captains in this room. If you want to kill only him, you might be able to find him by right-clicking on all the devils and targeting your attacks at him. It might be easier to just kill all of the devils, rather than trying to target one, though.
