Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor Hints
Cavalier to Champion
1 of 6: You will get this quest from Leda Rowan on a ridge just to the south of the center of the Bracada Desert. She asks you to win 5 victories in the Arena at Knight level.
2 of 6: You can reach the Arena from the Harmondale stables on Sundays. Once you get there and you're ready to fight, go up the ramp to talk to the Arena Master and select your level to let him know you're ready for the contest to begin. (Of course, cast all your usual sets of spells before the contest begins, for the best chance at success.)
3 of 6: You will get a very wide variety of monsters, even at the same level. If you find a fight too tough, you can always leave via one of the doors in the corners and try again another time. You don't have to win 5 contents in a row, just 5 contests overall.
4 of 6: Don't forget about the Berserk spell. Not all creatures you fight can be berserked, but there are usually some who can. If you Berserk them at the start of the fight, they will be closer to other monsters, and not to you. They're therefore likely to start a fight among the various monsters, even those that can't be Berserked, which should make the contests a lot easier. In practice, I found Enslaved monsters usually just panicked and ran in a corner, so they may not be quite as helpful to you here.
5 of 6: Also, take advantage of the terrain.
6 of 6: Either use the blocks in the middle that rise and fall for cover, and to put distance between you and melee-fighting creatures, or go up the ramp that leads back to the Arena Master and enter turn-based mode. Monsters may not be able to make it up the ramp without sliding back down, giving you some nice distance between you and them.
