Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor Hints
Rogue to Spy
of 9: William Lasker in the Erathian Sewers asks you to go to Watchtower 6 in Deyja and disable the counterweight to their gate. You will receive a 15,000 GP bonus for completing this quest.
of 9: Watchtower 6 is in southwest Deyja at (-16449, 18181).
of 9: You can see the counterweight mechanism -- or at least part of it -- through a small window in the wall just after you enter the tower. Remember its position to help you find the rest of the mechanism.
of 9: Take the first lift you see and then another lift that will put you on a raised platform in the middle of a round room, with four ledges at about your height along the sides of the room.
of 9: Notice that there are two buttons you can press when the lift brings you into this room.
of 9: The button to your north will lower the lift again, but the button to the south controls platforms between your present position and the four ledges.
of 9: You want to head to the southern ledge. Keep pressing the button and you should eventually be able to extend a bridge there.
of 9: Then, look in the southwest corner of the room below the southern ledge. You should see a similar window to the one at the entrance, as well as a button on the wall.
of 9: Press the button to lower the counterweight, and your quest is done. There is no need to explore the rest of the tower, unless you want the extra experience from killing things.
