Are there any secret treasure chests in this area?
1 of 4: Of course there are, or I wouldn't have put that question in your mouth.
2 of 4: In one of the two northern branch-off rooms, there's a large octagonal crystal structure with a secret panel on its back (north) side.
3 of 4: Your Perception has to be 40 (level 10 grandmaster) to see the panel, though you can open it without seeing it.
4 of 4: But you can't disarm the chest's trap without a Disarm Trap skill of 40 (level 10 GM). However, it may be worth the pain of setting off the trap, because it could contain a random artifact. (Save before opening it and try again if the artifact is missing or the trap scrags you.)
