Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints
What do the wells in the village do?
1 of 6: Drink from them and find out.
2 of 6: The one a little ways north of the weapon shop gives you a temporary +15 to Intellect.
3 of 6: The one near Talimere's hut (SE corner of the village) adds a permanent +2 to a character's Luck every time he drinks from it, up to a maximum of 16 or 17.
4 of 6: The one near the Adventurer's Inn will give you $1,000 if you have less than $99 (including in the bank) and the currently-selected character's Luck is at least 14.
5 of 6: The money well works twice, so spend some of your original $200, then use the well, then spend most of that, then use the well again. That's great for buying skills and bows for everyone right away.
6 of 6: Also, don't forget that the town fountain will heal hit points and has no limit to how many drinks you can take from it. Just make sure you survive to return to it, or it won't do you any good. (A character has to be alive and conscious to drink from a fountain or well.)
